Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention to the present moment without judgement, focusing on sensations, thoughts, and feelings as they are experienced
It is about being fully aware of what's happening internally and externally, without getting 'carried away' by emotions or automatic reactions.
Mindfulness can be a valuable tool for supporting various aspects of mental and physical well-being, including managing stress, anxiety, and depression, as well as improving concentration and sleep. It can also help with physical conditions like hypertension and chronic pain.
The key attitudes of mindfulness, as identified by Jon Kabat-Zinn, include non-judging, patience, beginner's mind, trust, non-striving, acceptance, and letting go.
These attitudes are not independent and should be cultivated together to enhance mindfulness practice

I offer individual mindfulness sessions or the 8-week Mindfulness Now Programme.
